ATX is a lil behind H-Town on the new releases, so I’m out of the loop a lil as far as brand new stuff, which also explains why I’ve been making my hip-hop tastes a lil more ecclectic these days.

Does anyone know who first started using the term ATX to represent Austin, Texas? Well it was legendary underground ATX rap group FLOMOB in BLAZE magazine!  You can see live footage of “the ATX’s favorite rap group” at http://www.youtube.com/flomob

Stupid name, I wouldn’t want credit for something so lame! But, if that is the only thing you are known for, then I guess they have to milk it.
