“Chicken parm, you taste so good”

The famous Nationwide insurance jingle—“Nationwide is on your side”—was written by Bronx-born songwriter Steve Karmen in 1969. American football quarterback Peyton Manning did a
commercial in September 2014 where he went through his day applying the Nationwide jingle to other things. Manning ate a chicken parm sandwich singing, “Chicken parm, you taste so good.”

The commercial was very successful, and “#ChickenParmYouTasteSoGood” became a Twitter hashtag on September 4, 2014. Another Nationwide commercial in September 2015 also used the “Chicken parm, used taste so good” line.

Last year, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had people across the country singing, “Chicken parm you taste so good” thanks to an ad for Nationwide insurance.

This year, Manning is back with a new version of the jingle singing about queso, getting lost and of course, chicken parm is back, but this time, someone else steals Payton’s chicken parm line.

In the ad, Manning is watching a cooking show featuring—you guessed it—chicken parmesan.

He hums, “Never seen this one before.” Then the lady on screen sings Manning’s line, “Chicken parm you taste so good.” Manning’s response? “I like it.”
