“Chocolate, men, coffee—some things are better rich”

“Chocolate, men, coffee—some things are better rich” is a humorous saying that has been printed on gift items such as coffee mugs and refrigerator magnets. The order of the three things isn’t standard, but “men” is usually given second or third. “Coffee, chocolate, men” was cited in July 2000 and “chocolate, coffee, men” was cited in November 2000.

The authorship of the saying is unknown and has not been attributed to anyone on any of the items that are sold. A similar saying is “Men are like coffee—the best ones are rich, warm, and can keep you up all night.”
