“Confucius Say—Student who study history, will find there is no future in it”

“Confucius Say—Student who study history, will find there is no future in it” is a one-line saying that has been printed on an image. The jocular saying is modern and is not from the Chinese philosopher Confucius (551 BC-479 BC).

“GRAFFITI FOR THE WEEK: Why study history? There’s no future in it” was published in a 1969 newspaper. “Confucius Say - Student who study history, will find there is no future in it” was posted on Twitter on May 19, 2009.

“There’s no future in becoming a historian” is a similar saying.

“Don’t study history , there’s no future in it.”(Original, or so I think), then upon being asked why I study history: “It’s an expanding field.  Literally every day there’s more of it.”

had happened in the past.
Student: Please teacher, I don’t think I want to study history.
Teacher: Why?
Student: There is no future in it.
