“Craptopia” (crap + utopia) is similar to the word “dystopia” (a dysfunctional utopia). An Urban Dictionary entry, from February 9, 2009, defined it:
 
“n. an imperfect place or state where everyone lives in discord and everything is for the worst”
 
The commenter “Tombstone” on the financial blog Zero Hedge mentioned “socialist craptopia” in April 2013 and July 2013, and “Kommie craptopia” in July 2013.
