Cuomo Nepotism Network (CNN nickname)

The Cable News Network (now called CNN) began in 1980 as the first all-news 24-hour television network. CNN has been called the “Cuomo Nepotism Network” by many because it hired Chris Cuomo in 2013, and because of a perceived favorable reporting of his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.  CNN’s Chris Cuomo often interviewed his brother during the 2020-21 COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, and “Cuomo Nepotism Network” became popular.
