Disenfrenchfries (disenfranchise + french fries)

“Disenfranchise”—meaning “to deprive someone of a franchise, generally their right to vote”—has nothing to do with french fries, but there are jokes. “I had to break it to my youngest that I was going to curtail her growing dependency on fast food. It’s time to disenfrenchfries her. (Jenni Saque)” was posted on the newsgroup alt.humor.puns on December 16, 2000.

“I’m the Reverend Al Sharpton. The New York primary is this Tuesday and states across the country have set up these new voter ID laws. But is the real purpose to disenfrenchfries you?” was said by actor Kenan Thompson (playing American civil rights activist, Baptist minister, talk show host and politician Al Sharpton) on the television show Saturday Night Live on April 9, 2016.

“Don’t let the government take away your favorite side dish. They’re trying to disenfrenchfries you” was posted on Reddit—3amjokes on February 11, 2020.

I bet Maher is still reeling over the vote count in Florida.
Does he know Floridians think hurricanes can read?
Prolly those same disenfrenchfried voters.
