"Life isn’t always tacos & tequila. But it should be” is a saying that has been printed on many images. Similar terms to “tacos and tequila” (meaning pleasing things) are “beer and skittles,” “peaches and cream” and “sunshine and rainbows.”
“Life ain’t all burritos and strippers, my friend” is a related saying.

Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
