“Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny”

“Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny” is an inspirational saying that has been printed on many images. “Don’t downgrade your dreams to fit your reality” was posted on Twitter by Leroy Biscuits on March 5, 2014. “Don’t Downgrade Your Dream To Fit Your Reality, Upgrade Your Conviction To Match Your Destiny” was posted on Twitter by “Overeducated Unintelligent” on September 19, 2014. Authorship is unknown, but it probably came from an image.

“Don’t downgrade your dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny” was printed in the International Business Times on January 5, 2015, and credited to ESPN sportscaster Stuart Scott (1965-2015), who had died the day before. Scott is frequently credited, but it’s unlikely that no one would have associated his name with the saying in 2014.

“‘Don’t downgrade your #dream just to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your #destiny.’ - John Assaraf” was posted on Twitter by Merrill Hartman on April 2, 2015. John Assaraf, an author, is also frequently credited, but again, it’s unlikely that no one would have associated his name with the saying in 2014, if the saying was his.
