“Don’t know how I feel about bars opening back up. Drinks gonna be weak compared to mine”

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in many bars being closed. Liquor stores were left open, and many people made drinks at home.

“Yesterday a worker at Walmart was talking to someone ‘When we go back to the bars, our drinks are gonna be weak bc we been pouring quad shots at home’” was posted on Twitter by Lynzi on April 16, 2020. “Whenever bars open up drinks are gonna be weak compared to how i’ve been making them the past couple of weeks” was posted on Twitter by austen moctezuma on April 20, 2020. “Don’t know how I feel about bars opening back up. Drinks gonna be weak af compared to what I’ve been pouring” was posted on Facebook by Marisa Solis on April 22, 2020.

“Dear Bartender, don’t be offended if we ask ’Is there any liquor in this drink?’ Please remember we’ve been making our own for the last 9 weeks” is a similar saying. “I hope the bars/pubs open soon. I need to cut down on my drinking” is another saying about the same situation.
