Folksy “placeholder” words sound more ridiculous in the same sentence. “I’ve told them a hundred times ‘Don’t touch the whatchamacallit because it will make the doohickey not work with the thingamabob!’” was posted on Twitter by Thabang Trodd on October 18, 2010.
“I put the thingamabob inside the whatchamacallit, turned the doohickey and the wuteveritis still doesn’t work! Any ideas?” is a saying that has been printed on many images. “I put the thingamabob inside the whatchamacallit, turned the doohickey and the wuteveritis still doesn’t work! Any Idea’s?” was posted on Twitter by James Humphreys on September 5, 2011, but the line probably originated on an image.
