Drunken Egg Cream (Kahlua Egg Cream)

The egg cream is a quintessential New York drink, containing no eggs and no cream. The usual egg cream ingredients are seltzer, chocolate syrup (Fox’s U-Bet), and milk.

In 2008, several alcoholic egg creams appeared. A “Drunken Egg Cream” adds rum and Kahlua to the standard egg cream ingredients. A “Kahlua Egg Cream” adds Kahlua, but not rum or chocolate syrup.

I am backdating this slightly because I have had connectivity issues and browser issues, and if they hadn’t happened I would have posted before midnight. Also, I am a little fuzzy because I am finishing off the last of the Drunken Egg Cream. It’s a drink of my wife’s creation - chocolate vodka, chocolate milk, and club soda. It’s good.
