The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic led to lockdowns, and people anxiously looked for it to end.
     
“I read somewhere that people in the Middle Ages celebrated the end of the plague with orgies. I wonder if anyone has planned anything after this epidemic?” was posted on Facebook by Christopher Hoffman on May 6, 2020. “In the Middle Ages they celebrated the End of the Plague with Orgies. Anyone Hosting any Events after this Pandemic?” was posted on Facebook by David Bruerd later on May 6, 2020.
   
“During the middle ages they celebrated the end of the plague with wine and orgies. Does anyone know if they have anything like that planned when this one ends? Asking for a friend” was posted on Facebook by Gunny Randy on May 17, 2020.
