“Earth first! (we’ll log the other planets later)”

The radical environmental advocacy group Earth First! formed in 1980. A popular anti-Earth First! bumper sticker is, “Earth First! (we’ll log/mine/strip mine the other planets later).”

A T-shirt with “Earth First!” on the front and “We’ll Log the Other Planets Later” on the back has been cited in print since at least September 1993. Early citations for the saying appear to be in newspapers from the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, California and Washington).
