Snopes examined this on September 12, 2022, and determined that American actor Morgan Freeman should not get credit for the saying, although he possibly said it after the saying had become well known.

And that is more infectious than any other disease” was posted on X/Twitter by Prof. Feynman on June 20, 2020. There is no evidence that American theoretical physicist Richard Feynman (1918-1988) ever said this.
