"Everybody wants to be a diamond, but very few are willing to get cut” is a motivational saying that has been printed on posters. The saying was popularized by American author Eric Thomas, who posted on Twitter on December 5, 2012:

“You can’t shine like a diamond until you are ready to be cut like a diamond. No pressure no prize!!! Get Comfortable being Uncomfortable!”

If you want to shine like a diamond, you have to get cut like one. For Donaldsonville native Bianca Harvey, she’s learning that and is making adjustments as she works her way up the depth charts on Southeastern Louisiana University’s women’s basketball team.
