“From zero to blurry in a hurry” (drag racing saying)

Cars are often rated on how fast they can go from 0 miles per hour to 60 miles per hour. An article in the Chattanooga (TN) Times Free Press on August 15, 2015, was titled “Test Drive: New Z06 Corvette goes from zero to blurry in a hurry.” The article explained that “from zero to blurry in a hurry” is a saying in drag racing circles.

“Im going from zero to blurry in quite a hurry” was cited on Twitter on July 12, 2012, one of several mentions of the saying in July 2012. The authorship is unknown.

Test Drive: New Z06 Corvette goes from zero to blurry in a hurry

Drivers not content with a mere 450-horsepower Corvette Stingray, now have the option of purchasing the Z06 — a car with an insane 0-30 mph time of 1.3 seconds. (Or as they say in drag racing circles, “from zero to blurry in a hurry.”)
