“General Tso Tso’s chicken is just okay”

General Tso’s chicken (a dish popularized in New York City) isn’t called “General Tso Tso’s chicken,” but there are some “so-so” jokes.

Wikipedia: General Tso’s chicken
General Tso’s chicken (pronounced [tswò]) ( (also General Tse’s chicken)) is a sweet deep-fried chicken dish that is served in North American Chinese restaurants. The dish is named after Zuo Zongtang (also romanized Tso Tsung-t’ang), a Qing dynasty statesman and military leader, although there is no recorded connection to him nor is the dish known in Hunan, Zuo’s home province.

General Tso Tso’s chicken never really gained popularity due to lack of enthusiasm about the product.

If you order General Tso’s Chicken and it isn’t very good, you could call it General Tso Tso’s Chicken.
