The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in some recommendations to wear gloves. “Glovetard” (glove + retard) represents someone who wears gloves, or is a fanatic that everyone wears gloves. “Glovetard” could also mean the exact opposite (someone who is a fanatic that everyone does not wear gloves).
