@prblog I refer to Oct. 31 - Dec. 25 as the season of HalloThanksMas. Since my view of celebrations all blend together and go so quickly.

Did you know there is actually a term for this blending of holidays? It’s called hallothanksmas. Now, that’s frightening. Can we all agree that our grandmothers would not have approved of hallothanksmas? If we were honest, we’d probably admit that we don’t enjoy it all that much ourselves.

Chamber News & Views
According to the calendar, it’s officially fall. However, if you’re waiting for leaves to change colors, forget about it. The only thing that changes color in Florida this time of year is the color of license plates as the snowbirds return.

My only complaint with this time of year is the fact that whenever I walk into big box stores, I see Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving decorations and Christmas trees. Yep. And we haven’t even reached Halloween yet. I call it Hallothanksmas. At the chamber, we’d rather take it one event at a time.

I cannot eradicate Hallothanksmas. But I can promise you a great month of chamber events in October. Please stop in and see us whenever you can.
