The “eggercise” (eggs + exercise) joke has been cited in print since at least 2000.
 
“How do bunnies stay in shape?”/“Hareobics” is a related riddle, and they’re often combined. “Q: How does the Easter Bunny stay healthy? A: Eggsercise, particularly hareobics!” was posted on the newsgroup alt.support.depression.manic on December 9, 2002.
