The Huffington Post (now HuffPost) was started on May 9, 2005, by Arianna Huffington and others; the website features liberal/progressive news and opinion. The unflattering nickname of “HuffPoop” was posted on the newsgroup misc.health.alternative on April 1, 2008. “Huff Poop” was posted on Twitter on July 22, 2009, and “The Huffington Poop” was posted on the newsgroup rec.outdoors.rv-travel on August 8, 2009.
     
Other nicknames of HuffPost include “Huffington Joke,” “Muffington Post,” “Puffington Host,” “Huffington Puffington Compost” and “Huffing Paint Post.” Another nickname of The Huffington Post (“Huff Po”) has been “Puff Ho” (since at least July 2005).
