"I am not emotionally prepared for tomorrow to be Monday” is a Sunday saying that has been printed on many images. Monday is the traditional start of the work week.

The saying was common before it became a meme in 2016. “not at all prepared for tomorrow to be monday” was posted on Twitter by Dena Walker on March 8, 2009. “I’m not prepared for tomorrow to be Monday /:” was posted on Twitter by Jana Garcia on November 27, 2011. “I’m not mentally prepared for tomorrow to be Monday” was posted on Twitter by Amber on July 29, 2012. “I’m not emotionally prepared for tomorrow to be Monday” was posted on Twitter by Heather on December 2, 2012.

“I am not emotionally prepared for tomorrow to be monday!” was posted on Twitter by Najam Naseem (and many others) on April 10, 2016. “i am not emotionally prepared for tomorrow to be Monday” was posted on Twitter by Amber Alert on April 10, 2016. The saying was probably popularized by an image, such as this one on Facebook on July 25, 2016.
