“I don’t care who dies in a movie, as long as the dog lives”

Many people love dogs—even more than they love other people. “I don’t care who dies in a movie, as long as the dog lives” is a saying that has been printed on many images. “Ever watched a movie when u don’t care if people die as long as the dog lives!” was posted on Twitter by 馃崟馃挋WaterJewelEmi馃挋馃崟 on February 21, 2010.

The saying became popular in 2013. “The best part of this movie is that the dog survives...I don’t care about the people. As long as the dog lives I’m happy” was posted on Twitter by Blondie’s Kitchen on January 3, 2013. “I don’t care who dies in a movie as long as the dog lives” was posted on Twitter by Morgan Baker (and others) on July 24, 2013.

If I watch movie as long as the dog lives I’m okay. The main character can and I’m good but as soon as that dog gets hurt, I’m out

I’ve heard people say “I don’t care what happens as long as the dog lives” when watching a movie. While most of us will never face Hollywood life-or-death situations, you do have the opportunity to make sure the dog lives.
