There are several jokes about high gas prices.
“I don’t like to brag about going to expensive places, but I just went to the gas station” was posted on Twitter by IG on May 6, 2016. “I normally don’t brag about going to expensive places. But guess what? I just left the Gas Station” was posted on Facebook by Deals and Free Things on April 13, 2021. “I don’t usually brag about going to expensive places, but I just left the gas station” was posted on Facebook by Crazy World on April 19, 2021.
“My wife wanted me to take her somewhere expensive. I took her to the gas station” is a similar saying.
