“I eat hummus when I don’t know the words”

“Hummus” can sound like the words “hum us,” so there are jokes. “Dad: Hey April do you like hummus? Me: Yes I do. Dad: That’s because you don’t know the words!” was posted on Twitter by AW on January 12, 2010. “I’m eating hummus only because I don’t know the words” was posted on Twitter by Stephen Rafferty on March 25, 2011.

Wikipedia: Hummus
Hummus (/ˈhʊməs/, /ˈhʌməs/; Arabic: حُمُّص‎, ‘chickpeas’; full Arabic name: ḥummuṣ bi-ṭaḥini Arabic: حمص بالطحينة‎, ‘chickpeas in tahini’ ) is a Levantine dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas or other beans, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and garlic. It is popular in the Middle East and Mediterranean, as well as in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe. It can also be found in most grocery stores in North America and Europe.
