"I just got done working all night, and I am ready to call it a day” is a seemingly contradictory saying about working during the night. “Been working all night on the ‘internet’ side of our business ... time to call it a day” was posted on Twitter on April 5, 2009. “Worked all night so let’s call it a day now” was posted on Twitter on January 20, 2011.

Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
