In the American romantic comedy television series Sex and the City, the “To Market, To Market” episode that originally aired on June 22, 2013, the character Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) said a now-famous line about money:
 
Samantha: I love the stock market. A room full of screaming sweaty men, all trying to get it up.
Miranda: I don’t invest in anymore. It’s too volatile.
Carrie: Exactly. I like my money right where I can see it. Hanging in my closet.
