“I named my stomach Budapest, Because it is the capital of Hungry”

The country of Hungary should not be confused with “hungry,” but there are jokes.

This was posted on Twitter by Taylor Burkhalter on January 6, 2018:

“I was home for Christmas and my parents cooked a beef tenderloin. I said, ’Man, Budapest is going to love this.’ They asked who Budapest was. I said ’I named my stomach Budapest because it’s the capital of HUNGRY’ and that’s when they stopped calling me son.”

Wikipedia: Budapest
Budapest (/ˈbuːdəpɛst/, Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈbudɒpɛʃt]) is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary, and the ninth-largest city in the European Union by population within city limits. The city has an estimated population of 1,752,286 over a land area of about 525 square kilometres (203 square miles). Budapest is both a city and county, and forms the centre of the Budapest metropolitan area, which has an area of 7,626 square kilometres (2,944 square miles) and a population of 3,303,786, comprising 33% of the population of Hungary.

One Christmas I was having dinner with the family and said “Boy Budapest is going to LOVE this dinner”.
“What about Budapest?” my grandmother asked.
“I named my stomach Budapest, because it’s the capital of HUNGRY!”
Aaaaand that’s when the family disowned me.
