“I only like New York as a friend”

The “I Love New York” campaign of the 1970s featured the popular “I (heart) NY” T-shirts. Snorg Tees developed a parody T-shirt in April 2009—“I only like NY as a FRIEND.” The parody slogan has been printed on many products as well as the T-shirts.

The Shirt For New Yorkers With a Fear of Commitment
by Sean Fallon on April 24, 2009
The food is great but NY is too cold man. She’s been with like a billion people and, let’s face it, her apartments are too small. All I know is, that I have an eye for the ladies with warmerclimates and an “affordable cost of living”if you catch my meaning. A committed relationship just wouldn’t work out.

I sat in my seat at the United Center with roughly two minutes left in the third period and turned to my buddy Neil. I asked, “Holy shit, have the Rangers even gotten a shot on Huet this whole period?”

I only like New York as a friend (maybe with benefits)
I got out of immigration in JFK at about midnight and all the shuttle buses had stopped running or were booked out for their last trip.

Five Funniest “I Heart” T-Shirts by admin
One of the most popular ad campaigns of all time, the “I heart NY t-shirt” slogan has been used as an advertisement for New York City since the 1970s, and it was even turned into a song! Originally created by graphic designer Milton Glaser, the “I heart” idea has been used in thousands if not millions of different contexts, and it has played a big role in shaping the “New York state of mind.” Most of the variations on this slogan are pretty boring advertisements for different locations that just rip off the original idea, but here are a few t-shirts that took this clever concept to another level. So let’s get right to our top five funny “I Heart” t-shirts! - See more at: http://www.ragnewyork.com/blog/five-funniest-i-heart-t-shirts/#sthash.Mgz1HAIF.dpuf
