“I saw someone pickpocket a dwarf. I don’t know how anyone could stoop so low”

The expression “stoop so low” usually is not meant literally, but there are jokes. “I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pickpocketed How could anyone stoop so low?” was posted on the newsgroup uk.rec.humour on October 2, 2008.

“I saw someone pickpocket a midget today. I can’t believe anyone would stoop so low” was posted on Twitter by ǝʞıɯlǝʇɹɐɔ on April 22, 2009. “There’s a gang of pickpockets targeting midgets in my town...honestly, how could they stoop so low” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on June 15, 2015.
