A form of the joke was posted on Reddit—Jokes on May 11, 2018, where a man says “Bargain” at a funeral, and the widow says, “Thank you. It means a great deal.” (Other versions of this have the man say “Plethora,” and the widow say, “Thank you. It means a lot.”)

A man in the pew behind her leans forward to ask, “Do you mind if I say a word?”.
