“I was drinking at a bar, so i took the bus home…” (joke)

"I was drinking at the bar, so I took a bus home. That may not be a big deal to you, but I’ve never driven a bus before” is a joke that has been printed on many images. The joke is that “taking the bus home” usually means riding the bus (not driving the bus).

“I drank too much last night so I took the bus home. This may not sound like a big deal to you, but I’ve never driven a bus before” was posted on Twitter by SomeAvatar on December 13, 2010. Authorship of the joke is unknown.

The drinking joke is often told on St. Patrick’s Day.
