The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City if often called “the Met.” The Metropolitan Opera at New York’s Lincoln Center is also called “the Met.” Are people who don’t like these institutions “Met-averse” (or “metaverse”)?

Or maybe it’s supposed to be “Met-averse,” a community for people with an irrational hatred of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
