A joke about the meaning of “a quarter” has been printed on several images. The joke originated on the Sickipedia website and was posted on Twitter on November 7, 2011:
“I won $2 million on the lottery this weekend so I decided to donate a quarter of it to charity. Now I have $1,999,999.75.”
The amount sometimes changes. “I won the lottery for a million dollars today so I decided to donate a quarter of it to charity. I now have $999,999.75” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on December 5, 2015.
