“If one door closes and another door opens, you’re probably in prison”

“When one door closes, another opens” is an old proverb about opportunity. A joke variation is:

“If one door closes and another door opens, you’re probably in prison.”

That’s how security systems in prison & secret government labotatories work” was posted on Twitter on October 22, 2010. “If one door closes & another door opens, you’re probably in prison. Lol” was posted on Twitter on April 21, 2012. The “prison” saying has been printed on several images.
