“If people were influenced by video games, the majority of Facebook users would be farmers by now”

"If people were influenced by video games, then the majority of Facebook users would be farmers by now” is a jocular saying about gaming that has been printed on many images. The joke refers to FarmVille, a farming simulation social network game.

The saying was posted on Twitter by Tom Wilsdon on April 19, 2012.

Wikipedia: FarmVille
FarmVille is a farming simulation social network game developed by Zynga in 2009. It is similar to Happy Farm, Farm Town,[ and video games such as the Story of Seasons series. Its gameplay involves various aspects of farm management such as plowing land, planting, growing, and harvesting crops, harvesting trees and raising livestock.

A sequel, FarmVille 2, was released in September 2012.
