“If there is coconut milk, there is coconut cheese”

There is coconut milk, so many people believe that there should be coconut cheese. “I’d probably be down to just coconut milk - can you make coconut cheese?!” was posted on Twitter by Balanced Bites on February 2, 2010. “If there’s such thing as coconut milk, is there coconut cheese” was posted on Twitter by Logan Walsh on December 10, 2016. “If there is coconut milk there is coconut cheese” was posted on Reddit—Showerthoughts on February 20, 2021.

“Coconut cheese” does exist, but it is rarely made.

Wikipedia: Coconut milk
Coconut milk is an opaque, milky-white liquid extracted from the grated pulp of mature coconuts.[1] The opacity and rich taste of coconut milk are due to its high oil content, most of which is saturated fat. Coconut milk is a traditional food ingredient used in Southeast Asia, Oceania, South Asia, and East Africa. It is also used for cooking in the Caribbean, tropical Latin America, and West Africa, where coconuts were introduced during the colonial era.

Cheese and custard production
Coconut milk can also be used in cheese and custard production, substituting at most 50% of dairy milk without lowering the overall quality of the products. By mixing skim milk with coconut milk, one procedure develops cheeses- including a garlic-spiced soft cheese called queso de ajo, a Gouda cheese substitute, and a Roquefort substitute called “Niyoblue” (a portmanteau of Tagalog niyog, “coconut”, and “blue”).

Violife make coconut based cheeses. I use these as I can’t eat dairy. Their “for pizza” and “Epic mature cheddar” ones are best
