“It’s only turkey if it’s from the farm region of Turkey. Otherwise, it’s sparkling chicken”

“Champagne” is sometimes used as a generic term for sparkling wine, but legally, it must come from the Champagne wine region of France. This became a joke meme.

You have to call it a ‘sparkling chicken’” was posted on Twitter by Huw on December 24, 2018. “It’s only turkey if it’s from the farm region of Turkey. In fact the reason it’s called turkey in English is because it reminded settlers of a bird that had been imported to Turkey from India. Brits associated it with Turkey bc that was their context of knowing the type of guineafowl. But yeah, sparkling chicken is better.
