12 October 2003, St. Louis (MO) Post-Dispatch, “English Festival Offers Jolly Good Treats This Week” by Sarah Bryan Miller:
Allen’s recital will be followed by an oddly timed “English tea party” at the Cheshire Lodge in Clayton. “I’ve never had cucumber sandwiches at 9 o’clock at night,” he says. Well, it’s always tea time somewhere - Tahiti, perhaps?
