The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in a lot of salons closing. “Have you Noticed that since all the Beauty Salons have closed Nobodies taking Selfies” was posted on Facebook by Passion Beauty Supplies on March 20, 2020. “Have you Noticed that since all the Beauty Salons have closed Nobodies taking Selfies” was posted on Twitter by enn-Do on March 22, 2020.
 
“I’ve noticed a lot of you are not posting selfies anymore since the beauty salons have closed” was posted on Twitter by andrew perendes on March 23, 2020. “I have noticed a lot of you are not posting selfies anymore since the beauty salons are closed due to lockdown” was posted on Twitter by Hiren Jagad a few minutes later on March 23, 2020.
