“Kalemole” is “kale guacamole”—regular guacamole with pieces of kale added. A recipe for “kale-a-mole” was cited in 2011. “Kalemole” or “guac-kale-mole” was popularized in December 2012 and in early 2013, when the product was sold by Whole Foods Market. Stew Leonard’s sold “kalemole” by at least 2015.

Ingredients
1 cup of kale
1 can of garbanzo beans {drained and rinsed}
1 lime {juiced}
1/2 cup of cilantro
1 small onion {don’t even chop it…the processor will do it for you}
2 T of extra virgin olive oil

Ingredients
• 2 Ripe avocados
• 4 Kale branches, leaves de-stemmed (stems discarded)
• 1 Jalapeno, de-seeded
• 1/4 Red onion
• 3 Cloves of garlic
• 1/2 Tsp salt
• Juice of half a small lime
