“Libertarians: Diligently plotting to take over the world and leave you alone”

“Libertarians: Diligently plotting to take over the world and leave you alone” is a libertarian saying that has been printed on many images, usually one with a man looking over a globe.

“New! - The Libertarian Plot Sticker: Libertarians: Diligently plotting to take over the World and leave you alone. http://bit.ly/Vx93q5” was posted on Twitter by LibertyManiacs on January 18, 2013. A T-shirt with this saying is a product for sale on the Liberty Maniacs website.

“Voluntaryists: Diligently plotting to teach people that taxation is theft, all interactions should be voluntary, and that they own themselves” is a related meme.

Wikipedia: Libertarianism
Libertarianism (from French: libertaire, “libertarian”; from Latin: libertas, “freedom”) is a political philosophy and movement that upholds liberty as a core principle. Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and political freedom, emphasizing free association, freedom of choice, individualism, and voluntary association. Libertarians share a skepticism of authority and state power, but diverge on the scope of their opposition to existing economic and political systems. Various schools of libertarian thought offer a range of views regarding the legitimate functions of state and private power, often calling for the restriction or dissolution of coercive social institutions. Different categorizations have been used[by whom?] to distinguish various forms of libertarianism. They can distinguish various libertarian views on the nature of property and capital, usually along left–right or socialist–capitalist lines.

Libertarianism — even the “political” variety — isn’t really very political at all. It’s anti-political. As one fun meme puts it, libertarians are “diligently plotting to take over the world and leave you alone.”

But if my view is that no beliefs should be imposed on anyone through force, is it force to not allow others to impose their views on anyone but otherwise leave everyone alone?
It’s like the old libertarian joke about plotting to take over the world and leave you alone.

Im SICK of the bullshit Libertarian line; “Diligently plotting to take over the world and leave you alone.”
It should more properly read, “Libertarians: diligently defending bullies from their victims, and forever wondering why they aren’t more popular.”
