"Libturd” (liberal + turd) is an epithet used by some on the political right against the political left. “Libturd” has been cited in print since January 2005, less frequently with the spelling “libterd” (liberal + terd).

Similar terms include “lefturd” (since July 2002), “leftard” (since August 2004) and “libtard” (since July 2004).
