There’s the old joke about how the teacher asked the little country boy if he could name the four seasons. He replied “Sure. They are deer, turkey, rabbit and squirrel.” If that’s all we Ozarkians had to look forward to we’d get awfully down and out this time of the year.
Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
