“Mary, I’m having one more pint with the lads. If I’m not home in 20 minutes, read this again”

A joke “Irish text message” has been printed on several images:

“Mary, I’m having one more pint with the lads. If I’m not home in 20 minutes, read this message again.”

That is, the husband is having another pint.  “An Irishman texts his wife from the bar: ‘I’m having one more pint. If I’m not home in 20 min, read this txt again’” was posted on Twitter on July 23, 2011.

15 March 2015, Sunday Telegraph (Surry Hills, New South Wales), “Go easy on Tony, we all love the Irish craic” by Angela Mollard, pg. 130:
It’s a clever country that adapts to year-round rain by retreating to the pub and producing some of the best music and wit the world has seen. Such unparalleled talent is encapsulated in an Irish message on Facebook:"Mary, I’m having one more pint with the lads. If I’m not home in 20 minutes, read this message again.”
