“May you always have a clean shirt, a clear conscience…” (Irish toast)

"May you always have a clean shirt, a clear conscience, and enough coins in your pocket to buy a pint!” is an Irish toast that has been printed on many images. The saying has been cited in print since at least 1999 and is of unknown authorship.
