“Meat so tender, you can leave your teeth at home” is the slogan of the Pit Stop BBQ in Waxahachie, Texas. “In fact, the Pit Stop’s slogan is ‘Meat so tender, you can leave your teeth at home’” was cited in print in 2010. The slogan has not been trademarked.

“Need no teef to eat my beef” has long been the slogan of House Park Bar-B-Que in Austin, Texas.

In fact, the Pit Stop’s slogan is “Meat so tender, you can leave your teeth at home.”

“You go to other barbecue places and they give you knives and forks to eat with,” Steve said with a chuckle. “Here, you don’t need no knifes or forks. Heck, the meat’s so tender you don’t even need your teeth. It just melts in your mouth the way good barbecue is supposed to.”

(The Pit Stop does provide utensils, but you only need them for the side dishes).

“Meat so tender you can leave your teeth at home,” is the Pit Stop’s motto. On that score, the joint doesn’t just talk the talk, it walks the walk.

The Posse might call the ribs mushy, but, according to Graham, his customers call them perfect.
