CNN is a U.S. cable news channel that was founded in 1980. The blog Ace of Spades HQ nicknamed CNN as “MSNBC White” (after MSNBC, the progressive political news and opinion channel) starting January 30, 2013. (The NBC radio network once had Red and Blue Networks in the late 1920s and early 1930s.) In the post titled “Occupy Wall Street Was Overwhelmingly White & Privileged and Somehow CNN Didn’t Notice,” Ace of Spades wrote, “CNN’s changing its slogan, by the way. It will now be called ‘MSNBC White.’” That is, CNN is indistinguishable from MSNBC.
 
The “MSNBC White” nickname has been used frequently by Ace of Spades HQ (and its posts on Breitbart.com), but has not had acceptance on other conservative blogs.

Given that CNN’s signature star (I use the term advisedly) is Gloria Vanderbilt’s very preppy son, I’m not shocked they looked at Occupy Wall Street and saw themselves.
 
CNN’s changing its slogan, by the way.
 
It will now be called “MSNBC White.”

...is that they are, supposedly, “just reporting what’s being said on social media.”
 
That is, the claim goes, they’re neutrally reporting what’s going on.  This is going on on social media; ergo, MSNBC White is neutral is reporting it.
