“My girlfriend would probably throw up if I told her I put ginger in the curry she’s eating. She loved that cat” is a joke—“Ginger” is the name of the cat—that was posted on Twitter by sickipediabot on August 26, 2012. The joke was originally on the Sickipedia website.
The joke sometimes has children eat the curry. “Today my kids cried like mad when I put ginger in the curry. They fucking loved that cat” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on August 3, 2018.
“I made chili con carne from Scratch. I’ll miss Scratch. He was a good dog” and “I cried when my dad chopped Onions. Onions was a good dog” are similar jokes on pet names. This joke was told during the 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak: “The kids asked what was for dinner and I told them ‘Scraps’. They started crying. Spoiled brats, it’s really hard to get food at the moment thanks to the panic buying. And it was a stupid name for a dog anyway.”
